Priyanka Chopra gave us serious style goals on Wednesday, when she stepped out for the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles. The former Miss Universe looked incredible wearing a silver and gold sequinned Vera Wang dress and dramatic dark eye makeup, but what really made the outfit was her chic and sophisticated twisted up-do.

Love this look? Well now you can recreate it for yourself. HELLO! spoke to Priyanka’s hairstylist Castillo, who has given us a step-by-step guide of how to create the actress’ stunning hairstyle.

Here Joico’s celebrity hairstylist Castillo shares the steps to Priyanka’s look:

Step 1:
Start with damp hair. Apply generous amounts of heat set cream, to coat the hair from root to to ends. Create two gold ball size amounts of Joico’s Joi whip ($16.99) and massage into the roots and the ends of the hair. Brush with a wet brush to fully coat each strand and to de tangle any hair before blow dry.

Step 2:
Divide your hair into four sections: Top, left side, right side, back. Blow dry the hair with a round brush and set. Brush out each section and spray with Joico’s Ironclad Thermal Protectant Spray ($17.99). Brush through again.

Step 3:
With a 1.5 inch curling iron take 1 inch sections and curl them in alternating directions. Leave each coil loose while cooling off. Repeat until entire head is done. Once you’ve finished, spray Joico’s refresh instant dry shampoo ($17.99) at the roots and ends. Brush out the curls.

Step 4:
Now we will be creating the up-do. I like to call this the knotted Mohawk up-do. You will create 4-5 sections starting from the front of your head going back. Each section will come from both sides of the head and will meet in the middle. Pull a 2 inch section from opposite sides of the head and create a knot by tying the two sections. Pin at the base and at the ends.

Step 5:
Continue working your way back and lining up each knot as you go back. It should look like a Mohawk bradied up-do when you’ve finished. Once you’ve finished make sure to personalize your look by pulling pieces to create a loose care free vibe or tightening pieces to create a more sleek and chic vibe. Seal in the look with some of Joico’s flip turn voluminzing finishing spray ($16.99)

To complete the transformation why not copy Priyanka’s nail look as well? The star kept her nails simple yet stylish at the awards show wearing Caption polish’s Rough Tough & In the Buff nude sheer warm white color.

Keep your nails simple wearing a sheer color like Priyanka.

Priyanka took home the best supporting actor at the Star Screen Awards. Congratulations! A People’s Choice Award & Star Screen in one week, what a life 🙂

Best supporting actor – Priyanka Chopra (Bajirao Mastani)
Best special effects – Bajirao Mastani

Apart from being one of the most successful stars in Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra has made a mark for herself internationally as well. Soon after she signed an American TV series (in 2015), she impressed one and all with her acting prowess.

Now, she has won the Favorite Actress In A New TV Series award at the People’s Choice Awards 2016, for her portrayal of an FBI recruit on the American show. The ceremony was held in Los Angeles, USA, on January 6.

The results at the popular American awards show are decided on the basis of the general public’s votes, and Priyanka is the first Indian actor to register a win at the event.

When we contacted her, an elated Priyanka said, “This is my first year in the US. To come to another country and experience this kind of acceptance is, I guess, what this country is all about. It’s a great honour for me to be given a best actresses nod. I’m the new kid on the block, and I’m so overwhelmed with the amazing welcome I’ve received. It’s humbling and encouraging.”

The actor also credits the team of her show for the win. “This is also a reflection of the work of my amazing team. They made this possible. As always, I am nothing without the audience… which is what makes this award even more special, because it’s voted by the people. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to begin the New Year,” says Priyanka.

The Bollywood star, along with American actor John Stamos, also presented an award to popular Hollywood star Vin Diesel, for his film, Furious 7 (2015).

In Bollywood if you are looking for recent actors who have resurrected their flagging careers, look no further than Priyanka Chopra.

Wednesday’s win at the People’s Choice Awards for Quantico is the icing on the cake for the actress who has been on a roll lately thanks to the hit American series and of course Bajirao Mastani.

She spoke to us before the awards and was very excited.

“Being nominated for PCA is a big thing,” Priyanka said, adding with a smile, “I know many big stars who have been nominated, so I just hope that I bag the award.”

Now that she has won in the ‘Favourite Actress in a New TV Series’ category, all that hard work has paid off.

“It was really tough for me to be able to live up to the expectations of the character. I really had to work hard. After just three episodes the show received appreciation all over the world. Quantico has got an extension as well and I am hoping that the second season also gets a green signal.”

“I remember when I had entered Bolly-wood, industry people would say, ‘yeh kaali hai, dusky hai… How will she make it?’ To win the world we need to have confidence in ourselves,” Priyanka says, adding, “I remember when I was to do Quantico, I wanted to be shown only as an Indian. And I tried to improve on my flaws. I worked hard and all my weaknesses turned into strengths.

“Thus I would ask the youth of today not to despair about your weaknesses, instead turn them into your strengths.”

About her role of Kashi in Bajirao Mastani and its importance, Priyanka says, “Sanjay (Bhansali) had cast Kashi first as he told me, ‘only after Kashi is cast can I think of Bajirao and Mastani. Sanjay and Prakash had come to Manali to narrate the story to me. I am happy to have received rave reviews from people from Bollywood, some of them who I may have never even interacted with.

“But let me tell you, If Deepika had not given such meticulous performance, and also Ranveer, I could not have given my best.”

About the immediate future, Priyanka says, “I have a few films on my platter but owing to time restraints I am yet to zero in on at least three of them. I am a greedy actor and I would like to do all the films, but I have no time. I am also producing a few regional films, not only Marathi but in other languages too.

“I am also looking forward to the second season of Quantico, if it happens,” she says.

Priyanka thanks America
“I would like to thank everyone who voted for Quantico,” the actress said after picking up her prize. “My first year in America and to come to another country and get this kind of acceptance is I guess what America is all about. So thank you, for accepting me.” PeeCee, who shared the stage with John Stamos during the ceremony, was later spotted clicking photos with action star Vin Diesel.

Priyanka is presenting at the People’s Choice Awards tonight, as well as being nominated. I uploaded the first batch of High quality photos. Keep checking back for more!
